Metal-Filled Coating - Metal-filled coating with the look and feel of solid metal
This coating consists of up to 95 percent metal powder and it therefore looks and feels like solid metal. The coating is best applied by spraying but it can also be rolled on. It can be applied to most materials, including foam, plastic, gypsum, wood, cardboard, metal, fibreglass, ceramics, and concrete. Metal coatings available include aluminium, brass, bronze, copper, iron, steel, and even gold.
It is used as a cost-effective alternative to metal sheets or casting for interior architecture and building façades.
The coating is supplied as metal powder, polyester binder, and hardener, which are mixed before application. A water-based variant is also available. The thickness of the coating is normally less than 0.15 mm, but it is possible to apply a thicker layer if preferred. The coated surface can be polished, burnished, or blasted to achieve a variety of visual effects.
Coat 3D-printed sculptures to make them look like castings.
You get three painted samples with dimensions 80 mm x 80 mm. The samples are iron, copper, and green brass.
All samples come with a laminated information card, which includes contact details for the supplier.
