Machinable Wax -

Hard wax that can be quickly and easily machined

This wax is harder and has a higher melting temperature than most other waxes. It can be machined with high-quality surface detail and dimensional accuracy on standard metalworking or woodworking equipment. It is self-lubricating and therefore requires no coolant. The wax can be recycled and used multiple times simply by melting it in an oven or a pot on a stove.

Used for:
The wax is used for prototyping and model making. It is also used as a training material for machinists, who can practice without wasting expensive materials. The wax has a non-stick surface and is therefore used for moulds for epoxies and polyurethanes, which can be cast in the wax mould without the need for sealers or release agents.

Details:
The wax melts at 143°C. It can be glued with cyanoacrylate adhesive (aka Super Glue).

Idea:
Use the wax for re-shapeable moulds for low volume production of concrete parts.
