Calcium Silicate Board

Board with low density and low thermal conductivity.

This strong and lightweight board has a low thermal conductivity and can withstand very high temperatures and large temperature changes. The board absorbs and releases ambient moisture and therefore prevents formation of condensation that would cause mould and mildew growth.

Applications for calcium silicate board:

The board is used for temperature insulation, passive fire protection, and as a sturdy material in damp and wet areas. It is often used as a safe alternative to asbestos. Applications include walls in bathrooms and basements, fireplace enclosures, and insulation for industrial piping.

More information:

The calcium silicate is derived from naturally occurring limestone and micro silica derived from silicon production. The board can be sawn, drilled, screwed, and machined with traditional woodworking machines and tools.
