Heat-Shrinkable Fabric Tubing - Fabric tubing that shrinks by 50 % when heated

The tubing shrinks 50 % in diameter when heated, while retaining its length. It is made from a woven fabric of transverse modified polyolefin strands that shrink when heated, and longitudinal polyester fibers that don't shrink.

Used for:
It is used to provide mechanical abrasion protection and insulation for components such as rubber hoses and plastic pipes. It is used in the automotive industry to protect hoses in the engine compartment, while also giving them an exclusive look and feel.

The fabric is very adaptable and can easily provide a snug fit over irregularly shaped objects. The tubing is available with a diameter of 6 mm to 110 mm before shrinkage. A simple heat gun can be used to heat the tubing to the shrink temperature of 110°C (150°C is recommended).

The sample:
You get an 8 cm piece of tube where one half has been shrunk. See the product picture.

All samples come with a laminated information card.
