Rigid Expanded Polystyrene Foam - Good heat insulation with high compressive strength

€12.00

This rigid foam is made from tiny particles of expanded polystyrene thermally welded into a compact block by their cell walls. The foam offers a low thermal conductivity and a much higher compressive strength than conventional expanded polystyrene (aka flamingo) or other heat-insulation materials.

Used for:
The foam is used in the building industry as a core material for sandwich panels, construction elements for windows and doors, and elements for cold bridge free installations.

Details:
The foam is available with densities ranging from 100 to 400 kg/m³ and a corresponding thermal conductivity from 0.038 to 0.065 W/m·K. It is easily processed with woodworking tools and can be fastened with standard screws. The insulation properties are only marginally affected by moisture. The foam is not UV-stable and should not be exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods.

Idea:
Make a camping beer cooler that will not crumble away.

The sample:
The sample measures 90 mm x 90 mm x 30 mm.

All samples come with a laminated information card, which includes contact details for the supplier.
