Polypropylene Core Sheet - Low-cost core material for sandwich panels

€12.00

These honeycomb sheets are produced in a continuous process by thermoforming, folding, and bonding operations directly from extruded polypropylene (PP) plastic. The highly efficient production method reduces the production cost compared with competing core materials.

Used for:

Solid plastic, wood, or metal skins are attached to both sides of the sheet to form lightweight sandwich panels with high stiffness and strength. The finished sandwich panels are used for lightweight construction, transportation boxes, vehicle and automobile production, shipbuilding, and sport and leisure equipment.

Details: There are variants with different cell sizes, densities, and thicknesses. The non-woven PET textile that is applied to the core’s surface allows for a good bonding of skin materials. The standard panel size is 2.5 m x 1.2 m.

Idea: Use it for cores for lightweight but robust furniture for music festivals.

All samples come with a laminated information card.
