Wood Fibre Insulation - Natural breathable insulation material

€10.00

This insulation material is made from wood fibres held together with a small amount of polymer binder fibres. The material is comfortable to work with and easy to handle and cut. The wood fibres absorb and release moisture, so the insulation material can reduce condensation within buildings. Wood fibres also have a high heat capacity compared with man made fibres, so the insulation can help level out daily temperature fluctuations.

Applications for wood fibre insulation:

It is used for insulation in floors, walls, and ceilings.

Details:

The wood fibre mat has a thermal conductivity of 0.038 W/(m·K) which is comparable to stone or glass wool. The material has been treated with a flame retardant (ammonium polyphosphate). The mats are available in different thicknesses.

Idea:

Use it for sound absorption in acoustic walls. It can also be used for heat insulation in a biodegradable collapsible picnic cool bag.
