Very Small LED - World's smallest stand-alone LED

€10.00

This light emitting diode (LED) measures only 0.65 mm x 0.35 mm with a height of 0.2 mm. It is installed as a surface mounted device (SMD) on either rigid or flexible circuit boards. The small size of the LED makes it very difficult to handle and solder by hand and an automatic pick-and-place machine is therefore required.

Used for:

The LED is used when space is limited. Applications include indication lights and backlights in mobile devices, hearing aids, headphones, wearables, and instrumentation. It is possible to install the LEDs in a pattern to form pictograms and symbols.

Details:

The LED is currently available with red, orange, green, yellow, or blue light. It has a wide viewing angle of 135 or 145 degrees. The LEDs are delivered in pockets on tape for use with pick-and-place machines.

Idea:

Add the LEDs to battery-powered jewellery that really sparkles.
