Resysta - Hybrid material with the look and feel of wood

€12.00

This material is made from rice husks (60%), which is an abundant waste product, common salt (22%), and mineral oil (18%). It offers the look and feel of wood, but is more weather resistant. It does not absorb water, which means it will not rot, crack, or splinter. It is also highly UV-stable and will therefore not gray out or fade as much as wood.

Used for:
It is used instead of tropical woods in outdoor furniture, terrace decking, fences, and façades. It is also used instead of teak decking on yachts.

Details:
The material is delivered as extruded profiles, which can be further processed like wood. The profiles can also be heat-bent to form curved shapes. It is delivered in its natural shade, which can be seen on the back side of the samples, but a wide range of colours can be applied as a surface finish.

Idea:
Use it for maintenance-free playground equipment or wooden toys that can be left in the sandpit.
