Coloured Carbon Fibre Fabric - Carbon fibre interwoven with coloured polyester

Carbon fibre is interwoven with brightly coloured polyester (PET), giving the finished fabric a unique and eye-catching look. The coloured fabric contains 50 percent polyester and therefore has less strength than pure carbon fibre fabrics; it should not be used for structural applications.

Used for:
The fabric is used as an eye-catching top-layer in carbon-fibre-reinforced composites. The moulded composites are used for design details for sport vehicles and sports equipment.

Details:
Care should be taken when handling the fabric because the yarns are easily distorted; the contrasting colours make distortions highly visible.
