Conductive Heat Transfers - Easy to apply, soft, and stretchable electric conductors
Electrically conductive circuits are applied onto textiles or other materials using conventional heat transfer technology. Textiles with the soft conductors are comfortable to wear, yet durable enough to withstand normal wear and machine washing.
The conductive transfers are used to connect sensors, heaters, and other electrical components in wearables and smart textiles. One application is for smart clothing for biometrics in the healthcare and sports industries.
The transfer is manufactured by screen printing alternating layers of non-conductive and conductive inks onto a polyester carrier film. The final layer is a hot-melt adhesive that makes it possible to transfer the ink layers from the polyester film onto a substrate using a simple heat press. You can specify the shape of the conductor as well as the positioning of the conductive contact points. The manufacturer supplies custom transfers ready for assembly. It is also possible to license the technology for in-house production.
