ETFE Film - Strong transparent film with excellent weather resistance

ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene) plastic has many of the same characteristics as PTFE (aka Teflon) but offers higher strength. The film offers excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, anti-stick properties, electrical insulation properties, and long-term weather resistance. The low friction of ETFE gives the film anti-fouling properties.

Used for:
It is used for outdoor architectural applications, greenhouses, and cover sheets for solar panels. In recent years it has been used extensively for transparent inflatable roofs for stadiums, shopping malls, and public squares between buildings.

Details:
The film can be heat welded, thermoformed, or laminated to other materials. It has a continuous service temperature of -185°C to 150°C. The film can be printed for decorative purposes or to limit the inflow of light when used in architecture.

Idea:
Use it to make an inflatable greenhouse. It can also be used for a canopy over an all-weather playground.
